Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Mullewa

"Go forth on your path, as it exists only through your walking" ... said an African called Augustine about 1600 years ago.

Well, I've gone forth on my path, and here I am in Mullewa, a town on the Southern edge of the Western Desert. A gem of a place. Here, for example, is Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, designed and built by Monseigneur Hawes in the early 20th century.

"It feels like a real church," someone pointed out to me at Mass this morning.

Who knows where the path will lead next, but for these three weeks, God, I'm glad I came.
